Bible Study, Friday 11/30 !!

With Thanksgiving kicking off the holiday season, the malls are jam packed with shoppers. (Did anyone get to the Black Friday sales?) Buying gifts, ordering eggnog latte, baking cookies, putting up lights, decorating Christmas trees, planning ski trips or family vacations - all of these really hype up our holiday spirit!

The Israelites must have anticipated such festivities when entering the Promised Land - a land with streams and pools of water, with springs flowing in the valleys and hills; a land with wheat and barley, vines and fig trees, pomegranates, olive oil and honey; a land where bread will not be scarce and you will lack nothing; a land where the rocks are iron and you can dig copper out of the hills. ( Deut.8). What a difference from their 40 years of wandering in the desert or the 400 years of slavery in Egypt!

But, how did they face the riches of the Promised Land? Were they also wrapped up in preparing for festivities like we are now? In the hustling and bustling, did they remember the Giver who saved them? Do we remember why we celebrate Christmas?

This Friday, we will study how Moses prepared the Israelites to face the riches and festivity ahead and worship our Savior who give us freedom and life, the true Star of Christmas!

What: "Savior" Deuteronomy 4:32-40
When: 11/30 Friday 7:30-9:30pm
Where: ECC Education Building Room#102

See you there! If you need a ride, call Jerrold at 405-762-6858!

Thanksgiving Feast!

It's time to remember and give thanks to our Lord for His presence and blessings with us this year. Our dear counselors, Willie & Daphne, are opening their home for the Ark's thanksgiving dinner this Saturday 5-7pm.

Daphne will make her famous "Turkey Wreath" as main course for us!
And let us make this dinner a colorful and fun meal by bringing a dish of our own, such as green salad, orange yams, yellow potato, cranberry juice, blueberry jam, black forest cake, white ice cream, pink gello, or any other color etc...

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Bible Study

Dear Arkers & friends,

Current culture tells us that we deserve to get what we want at when we want it, but life seems to have a mind of its own. When things don't turn out the way we want or when God shut the doors on us, how do we respond? Mad? Sad? Bitter? Complain? Resign to fate? Doing whatever we can to change things? This Friday at the Ark fellowship, we are going to study how Moses, Joshua, and the Isarelites faced God's decision. We will look deeper into our own hearts and God's good and perfect will.

When: Friday 7:30-9:30pm

Where: Jen's Nest for the very first time in the Ark history!!!

What: Bible Study - Deuteronomy 3:21-29 See you on board!
